So, uh, ICTH will down for few more days....

I'm going to New York to visit friends and catch a few shows (including the Revenge of the Bookeaters: 826NYC Benefit show!!). I will try my best to post while I'm there, but I'm not sure if they have internet where I'm staying, so we'll see. I will be back next Tuesday, so no worries, right?

NEW RADIOHEAD SONG: "Arpeggi"

Radiohead.
New studio recording. Arpeggi. Um, yeah. Massive thanks to IGIF for this.

EDIT: Uh, sorry...just another live version of this song. Got ahead of ourselves...Radiohead will make you do that.

Jesu makes up missed tour dates...hallelujah.

Shoe-gazing, sludge, doom metal, electronica bad-asses, Jesu, are finally coming back around to the U.S. to make up for the string of missed dates with ISIS last March due to work-visa issues. I, for one, am absolutely ready for this show! I got my new earplugs recently, so crank it up Justin, I'm ready. (sidenote: It would have been even better if the Atlanta date included Sunn O)))...so if those guys wanna come to Atlanta too, then I'm also ready to be enveloped in pure black fog.)

NEW SONG: Beirut "A Sunday Smile"

Thanks to You Ain't No Picasso for the heads up on this track. I'm eagerly anticipating the new Beirut album, as I'm sure a lot of you are as well, and this new track hints at some the wonderfulness we can hope to expect from the full album. It's live (from SXSW), but as Matt from YANP points out, it's really an amazing quality recording! Enjoy!

Mad props to Snake's Got a Blog for recording the Wolf Parade show last Sunday (8/19) over at the Warsaw in Brooklyn. Also, mad props to Ryan Meehan who edited out some extraneous crowd noise, and provided a track listing and a photo/CD cover (Ryan also took the above photo). There are quite a few new songs in this set, and all of which have me jonesin' for the new album (especially "Stevie" and "F.Y.C."). Download the whole show HERE.

The Echo Project, Oct. 12-14 2007, Atlanta, GA

So it seems as though Atlanta is finally getting another multiple day/ungodly-amount-of-bands music festival. It's more jam-band oriented than I usually care for, but The Flaming Lips, The Polyphonic Spree, The Roots & Man Man are playing so who cares! It takes place Oct. 12-14 at the Bouckaert Farm in Fairburn, GA which is just slightly south of Atlanta along the Chattahoochee River. More importantly, The Echo Project is about helping and educating people on how to take care of the environment. They'll start with Chattahoochee, and about three weeks before the festival a group of volunteers will start to clean the river in the area of the venue. They will also be using alternative fuel sources to help power The Echo Project, in order to create a sustainable music experience. They are primarily focused on energy usage, waste management and habitat restoration. You can volunteer for river clean-up, festival work exchange or the street team here, some of the incentives include ticket upgrades/discounts, free merch and access to exclusive camp sites.

I'm back!

So, the video shoot went well. With as many things that could have gone wrong, it turned out to be a smooth and enjoyable couple of days. The video is for The Brock Scott Quartet (you can check out a previous post here) song "Poseidon", and I should be done with it by the end of November. I will, of course, post the video as soon as it is done. In the meantime, check out the track in question.
