Ummm, you'll get it once you watch the video. All this Whirlyball-speak as of late got me thinkin' about the insanely awesome Mogwai show at Whirlyball Atlanta last year, so here's a video montage (fancy word for "many video clips, edited together & set to Phil Collins") of Mogwai's Chunklet/Whirlyball adventure (sounds like one of those Gremlins storybooks from the 80's!.....ding!, you may now flip the record over).

100th post!!!!
So this is my 100th post. I started this blog on December 31st 2006, with the hope that I wouldn't fuck it up with too much laziness on my part. So far, so good. It's pretty much how I want it to be (I'm still looking for a second person to help contribute... so if you'd like to be that person drop me a line :-))...it could use some fresh paint, maybe upgrade the 8-track to cassette, a pinĂ¡ colada air freshener wouldn't be bad, but for the most part it runs pretty good and gets me where I want to go. I would definitely say I'm happy with it. The video below pretty much sums up how I feel.
I can't wait to see where this goes from here. And hopefully, I don't fuck it up.

Magic Arm "Outdoor Games" EP is finally out
I posted on this band about a month ago when there was little or no information about the band and little word about when an album would be out. That has changed. Connor over at I Guess I'm Floating recently posted about the new EP "Outdoor Games" as well as links for an actual website! and some info about Magic Arm (you should go over there and check it out!). I went and purchased the whole album for download here, and I have to say it's spectacular. It's also available to purchase as a vinyl 10" here from his label's website Switchflicker. I can't recommend this album enough.
Here's a another track from it:

Henry DOES love his Whirlyball like a motherfucker.
Apparently Henry challenged Arcade Fire to Whirlyball last week. The word on tha' street is ol' Arcade Fire are quite aggressive Whirlyball players. They supposedly gave Team Chunklet a run for their money. Man, I knew Canadians were aggressive. You can't fool me with that laid back exterior, ay.

Ted Leo & The Pharmacists WHIRLYBALL SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!
Man, Henry over at Chunklet magazine is one Whirlyball lovin' motherfucker. He's now bringing Ted Leo to play a show at Whirlyball Atlanta (Roswell, GA). He's also probably challenged the band to a couple o' rounds Whirlyball, and he & Team Chunklet will probably kick the crap out them too (he apparently does this to all of the bad-ass bands he books shows for: Mogwai, Isis, The Melvins, Big Business...). Anyway, this means TWO Whirlyball shows this summer...Deerhunter and now Ted Leo (or as Henry calls him, Theo Leo :-)). We love you Henry, and your taste in music.
(In case you don't know what Whirlyball is go here)
Ted Leo - Atlanta/Athens tour dates:
08-08 Roswell, GA - WhirlyBall Atlanta
08-09 Athens, GA - 40 Watt Club (Athens Popfest)
