NEW SONG: Man Man "Top Drawer"

I just recently posted about Man Man's upcoming album, "Rabbit Habits" (which still comes out 4/08 via ANTI-) and their upcoming tour (which includes a date @ The 40 Watt in Athens, GA!). And now, here's the first released track from their first ANTI- release, "Top Drawer". Which I must say is even better than my already high expectations.

GREAT NEW MUSIC: Crushed Stars "Gossamer Days"

I just finished listening to the new Crushed Stars album, "Gossamer Days", for the third time today...and I feel dazed & light-headed. Wow. My only regret is that it's not 3am and I'm not lying on my roof staring at the sky. This is one of the most lush and expansively beautiful albums I've ever had the pleasure of day-dreaming to. I'm almost at a loss for words, or maybe I just can't think of words that are as beautiful as the music I want to describe them with. The press release describes Todd Gautreau, the man behind the music, as "a powerful songwriter and one of the best dreampop craftsmen around"...dreampop...that's EXACTLY what this is...dreampop.

"Gossamer Days" out 2/19 via Simulacra Records.

VIDEO: A Place To Bury Starngers "The Falling Sun"

VIDEO: Les Savy Fav "Patty Lee (Live on Live on "Late Night With Conan O'Brien")"

Tim Harrington is a bad-ass motherfucker, and no one can tell me any different. Word on tha' streets is that Les Savy Fav will be playing one of those infamous Chunklet sponsored Whirlyball shows sometime soon. Henry Owings AND Tim Harrington playing Whirlyball? Man, this will be where "the sweat descends".
