RADIOHEAD: "Scotch Mist", New Year's Eve broadcast
This is the hour long broadcast of Radiohead's "Scotch Mist" from Current Television that aired last night right before midnight. Radiohead performed all of the tracks from their breath-taking new album, In Rainbows. I didn't watch this last night, but that's good because I needed something low key and interesting to watch today while I nurse a slight hangover. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

VIDEOS: Radiohead "All I Need" & Arcade Fire "My Body is a Cage"
Here are two fan-made videos for Radiohead & The Arcade Fire, both were done by J. Tyler Helms using footage from the 1996 film "Microcosmos" (Radiohead) and Sergio Leone's "Once Upon a Time in the West" (Arcade Fire). Both are pretty great examples of why Youtube is better than TV.

RADIOHEAD "Entanglement" webcast, 11/08/07
Here is the Youtube version of Radiohead's "Entanglement" webcast (in two parts) from last night on Radiohead.tv. They cover Björk’s "Unravel" in Part 2, quite excellently I might add.

I'm listening to the new Radiohead.
I'm currently listening to "In Rainbows", which I plan on listening to all day. So far it's really good, and I'm sure it'll only get better with repeated listens. That's the plan at least. I'll let you know for sure tomorrow. Holy shit, has this year seen more fantastic releases than usual? It sure seems like it. 2007 has been a great year for music in general, not only the great albums, but Radiohead's unorthodox album release method has been nothing short of a big fuck off to the DINOSAUR that is the major label record industry. The precedence set here will hopefully be the much needed catalyst for change that both artists AND fans have been wishing for. Here's to the death of the dinosaur.

NEW Radiohead Album "In Rainbows" out Oct. 10th!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I didn't even have to use my AK....today is a good day.
So no more speculation about the new Radiohead album, it's called "In Rainbows" and it's available to pre-order now. It'll be available to download Oct. 10th, but the physical album won't be available until "on or before" Dec. 3rd, (right now it's only available as a "Discbox" which includes the following: "THE NEW ALBUM, IN RAINBOWS, ON CD AND ON 2 X 12 INCH HEAVYWEIGHT VINYL RECORDS. A SECOND, ENHANCED CD CONTAINS MORE NEW SONGS, ALONG WITH DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHS AND ARTWORK. THE DISCBOX ALSO INCLUDES ARTWORK AND LYRIC BOOKLETS. ALL ARE ENCASED IN A HARDBACK BOOK AND SLIPCASE. THE ALBUM DOWNLOAD AUTOMATICALLY COMES WITH THIS PACK.") All of this for £40.00 ($81.64) which is a tad expensive for my meager budget, but the "download only" is available for......whatever you want to pay for it! That's right, name your own price for it. I paid $6 for it. The new Radiohead album for $6......today really IS a good day. October 10th will be a great day.

Stereogum releases OK X: A Tribute to OK Computer
Stereogum gets the hotness award this year!! Getting some amazing talent to cover "OK Computer" in it's entirety, then offering it up for FREE DOWNLOAD!!! You really couldn't pay tribute to one of the most influential & envelope-pushing albums of all time any better than that. Kudos Stereogum, kudos. Bands who contributed tracks include: The Twilight Sad, Vampire Weekend, Cold War Kids, David Bazan, Doveman, My Brightest Diamond, John Vanderslice, and more. I haven't finished listening to the whole thing yet, but so far it's light years better than most of the tribute albums I heard before. Which is saying a lot.
You can download the whole album, here.
