UK trio, Fujiya & Miyagi, have put out one of the best electronica albums that I've heard in awhile, "Transparent Things". I actually listened to it for the first time while I was at the gym. Like all good music should, it made the hour and a half fly by. The music's got a little krautrock influence (Can & Neu!), but it mainly reminds me of modern electronica artists like Air, Ladytron, LCD Soundsystem and Hot Chip. "Reminds me of" doesn't mean "sounds just like", just to put that out there. Great all around album, although tracks like "Cassettesingle", "Transparent Things" & "Collarbone" really stand out. I love the the singer's broken english/odd vocal rhythm throughout, wacky brits. Cool shit, check it out, shake your ass to it, break a sweat to it, drive around aimlessly to it.
