So anyone who hasn't heard of Daytrotter by now, should. Tell your friends, and tell them to tell their friends who aren't your friends. Daytrotter.com offers some of the usual fare one would expect from an MP3 blog/website: album reviews, cartoons, MP3s, etc. Except the MP3s are exclusive live recordings brought to you by Sean Moeller & Patrick Stolley over at Daytrotter. They're recorded over at Futureappletree Studio 1, in Rock Island, Illinois (Daytrotter HQ). Basically Sean kidnaps unsuspecting indie rock bands on their way through rural Illinois, makes them perform in his studio, and releases them back into the wild. He's not unlike the Crocodile Hunter in some aspects. Some of the members of the "capture & release program" are: Of Montreal, Sunset Rubdown, Maritime, P.O.S., Frog Eyes, Annuals, Page France, The Velvet Teen, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, The Elected, Cold War Kids, Two Gallants and Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin. Get over there and get in on that MP3 action! Oh, and check out the rest of the site while you're over there, it's pretty sweet.
