BLITZEN TRAPPER: Unreleased songs on Daytrotter

Gotta love those Daytrotter folks. In the latest Daytrotter session, Blitzen Trapper lays down four tracks (three of which are brand new and unreleased!!...and REALLY good) for your downloading addiction..ahem, pleasure. You can pick up the three unreleased tracks below, or head over to Daytrotter to pick up all four, or just the other song...ah, you get the point. Those northwestern hippie-sters are currently on tour, so I'm sure we'll be catching some of these new songs live (maybe more, who knows?).

DAYTROTTER SESSION: Deerhunter

Deerhunter recently stepped into Daytrotter's studio, and surprise, suprise..they recorded some songs that the still-wonderful-as-ever, Daytrotter folks have available for download. I have the two unreleased songs available below, and head over here for two more.

Man, you gotta love those guys over at Daytrotter...they keep delivering some great live sets from some some really great bands. The latest in this long list is The National, who decided to include a cover of the Psychedelic Furs classic, "Pretty in Pink" in their set (which is pretty damn good, btw). FREE Grizzly Bear tracks over at Daytrotter

Daytrotter has some new (and free) Grizzly Bear tracks here (or click the pic to the left to whisk you magically there, whatever floats your boat). As always they seem to be able to kidnap and record some of the best bands. Good show Daytrotter!! Good show!! (light clapping)

They're recorded over at Futureappletree Studio 1, in Rock Island, Illinois (Daytrotter HQ). Basically Sean kidnaps unsuspecting indie rock bands on their way through rural Illinois, makes them perform in his studio, and releases them back into the wild. He's not unlike the Crocodile Hunter in some aspects. Some of the members of the "capture & release program" are: Of Montreal, Sunset Rubdown, Maritime, P.O.S., Frog Eyes, Annuals, Page France, The Velvet Teen, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, The Elected, Cold War Kids, Two Gallants and Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin.
